I currently only know of three, one of which Mickey Hale restored. As there whereabouts, I keep them private and respect the owners wishes. I have seen all three and they are ALL very NICE!

I spent some time with Dick Bridges day before yesterday at his shop in Rock Hill. Micky, I believe he told me that is where you guys used to restore his cars. I gingerly floated out the idea he should start another collection. I could see an interest but, don't know if he would do it again. Dick is surely a good guy and he still loves quality cars. His black COPO Chevelle is typical of the cars he owned.

Yes Mark, nothing but the best. Hes a great guy, and I was lucky to be there in the prime time of musclecars. I'd love to go back to the way it used to be. He had the best all around musclecar collection of quality and multi brands at the time IMO. Its always great to hear where some of the gems went. The black COPO Chevelle was the first car brought to Oh when I moved here in 1996 from SC. I collected parts for 3 years before we even did the car. One of my all time favorites still.

I was told that there was only one Copo Black 69 that came out of the fremont plant. Is there any truth to this.

There is an excellent article on one black COPO built at a different assembly plant, possibly Freemont but I don't remember exactly. Arlington rings a bell.

My magazines are very disorganized otherwise I would go find it and scan it.
