Why repaint the engine on a car with miles like that?

People just do Stuff. He probably thought , oh this will look better & just not thinking about how enthusiasts like Unrestored Patina.

Even though it is a low mileage car, it is still an old car. The factory engine paint really sucked and did not look good for long. I had a low mile 67 chevelle and the engine paint was all dried and cracked and peeling. It did not match the mileage or the condition of the rest or the car. It had bad valve seals, so i pulled the engine and replaced all engine gaskets and repainted the engine and reinstalled.

---Correct, Roger! I would never judge a low mile car because of the engine detail. Id probably rather not have it done and make that decision myself, but a true low mile car is distinguishable a bunch of other ways other than the paint on the engine........Bill S

Probably a nice car, but it would appear that it is probably not a "one owner" car as advertised. Maybe it's a "one owner" as opposed to a "no owner" <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/confused.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif
