Dave, my collection is not car related, but I do have an obsession with collecting "local history memorabilia." Basically, I look for anything old from a couple of local neighborhoods near me. That includes old photographs, postcards, advertising items, municipal items, books, booklets, some architectural remnants, etc.

OK, I'll give this a try. Here's my house garage "in progress" toy display. Working on the top shelves for the pedal cars next, along with some kind of nice flooring, and of course populating the walls with automobilia and artwork.... FYI - many of the models and kits in the cases are Hubleys from 1959-1964 era, hence my "hubleyman" name, plus some Matchbox, Corgi, etc. Its amazing what you end up collecting over the years. Here are some photos of our showroom with most of it belonging to Annie. A few items are on loan for display and we are always adding to the collection. Most of the photographs are the originals as well as some original color slides. I need to update the photos as MANY items have been added since I took these shots.

Rick, Rick Rick! In my collection I primarily focus on "paper" related items. When I saw those ORIGINAL Fred Gibb photos all curling up, being held down by distributors and that I cringed. You NEEED to get some rigid mylar sleeves for those photos. First, it makes them flat, then it protects the photos by being acid free and hard to protect them from being damaged. Here is a link to a supplier I use for my archival supplies. 25 rigid mylar sleeves are only $14.95! They have larger and smaller ones as well, I linked 8 1/2" X 11" for you. Don't wait, order them now! Temp change and especially humidity does a number on old photographs!

It's on the 'to do' list Frank. Just too many other additions and expansions going on. Since those photos were taken that room has turned into a storage room for restored parts and parts shipments as I am out of room everywhere in the shop, library, parts and tool rooms and that is the only place I had left. Even rented a storage garage for parts and have two customer cars stored at the home shop. Trailers are also full! I think it is time to move!!!!

I second the request for Joe to post his stuff.

As I recall, that room turned into a parts storage room a long time ago? I had to watch where I put my feet when walking through.

I third the motion for Joe to post some of his stuff, including the USA-1 plate he got from me for far less than the one on ebay now.

Verry nice Joe...I dont play the guitar but love the Fender sound [Angus]. Reminds me of my electronics guru mate in Sydney that wanted to finally learn the guitar at 45yrs old. So he buys a guitar and goes down the road for a tuition lesson from a local younger guy. Well the young guy freaked out when my friend pulled out his Strat , it was a better/rarer collectable guitar than the teachers! lol

Couple of my 1:18 favorites. Both of these cars and drivers are OZ racing legends from the 60s-70's

Bob Janes ZL1..Bob is still around and still has the car. I have 2, one in the cabinet and another unopened in its orig packaged numbered box....I might trade it for a few SS/A or Pro Stock cars?

This 'Shell yellow' 69 Holden HT Monaro GTS350 beat BJ's Camaro [which had to have the BB swapped for a 350 to comply] LIke the guys throttle trigger on the shifter? This car is also fully restored in a collection here in OZ.

Found these at a friends house over the weekend and traded for some fire fighting memorabilia. Not sure what the value of this stuff is but will make nice additions to our nemorabilia room. The cardboard signs are in excellent condition while the canvas signs are a little worn but pretty cool none the less. I cannot find much information on any of the three other than approximate dates.

Another neat item I found under the seat carpet of an unrestored LS6 I recently inspected. Interesting as there were no VIN numbers on this decal and it was laying lose. Wonder if they stamped the numbers at the time they were plcing the decals on the doors and not ahead of time.
