That is a peach.

"Unmolested"

The NC Blue Chevelles seem to come available every once in a while, and a few nice survivors around.

Albert,

My black 69 SS has clock/no guages. Maybe it was a Southeast thing?????

I'd love to make this my driver!

Ok, maybe this really well-priced, one-of-a-kind, original Carolina Blue paint, matching numbers Chevelle survivor will still be available this summer when you come to visit?

Albert, here is a '69 Chevelle that I had for a parts car that was equipped with a clock but had no gauges.

Great car BTW.....Not my favorite color but I'd love to have it in my garage.

IIRC, when gages were ordered from the factory, the clock was part of the package....but if gages were NOT ordered, the only way you could get the clock was as a dealer-installed accessory. So, I'm sure there were quite a few of them installed at the dealerships on idiot light cars.

Also IIRC, passenger side outside rear view mirror was the same story, dealer installed accessory only, not available factory installed.

Love this quote from the craigslist ad for the subject car...."Car has never been apart so build sheet is still in car". OK, buddy, can I get that in writing? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif

Don't know about Chevelle's but in 1969 you could get just the clock without gauges on the Camaro. U35.

Back to the Carolina blue car. With apologies in advance to anyone who has one, I drove a few 325 horse 396 cars back in the day. Horribly underpowered for a big block. I honestly don't know that it could outrun the 295 horse 350 and would definitely get left in the dust by a good running 302.

Yes, lots of mods available that would remedy its pig status, but if you are wanting a survivor, do you want to do the mods? Just stirrin the pot on a quiet Fri. nite. Flame away.

Stir away.

I have an L35 but have never driven an L34 or L78, I can't wait.

"pig staus" Have you ever ridden a pig? It's more fun than stirrin the pot....:-)

This Chevelle owner obviously was a man of great wisdom.....while driving his Chevelle it was apparent he was getting a squeaking noise coming from the left side of the dash.

Bingo, a quick and simple solution.....someone get me two flat head srews and one washer, DUH!

Dan,

Those wiper switch mounting bosses are almost always broken, this was probably a quick fix to that.

Shameful.

Make that three flat head screws and one washer; you missed the one to the left of the vent ball.

Tee Hee,

My L35 is more of a dog than a pig.

Just to stay on topic my dash has some self tapping screws in it from the same previoUs ding dong owner.

As the owner of a bone-stock L35, you'll get no arguments from me! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
