hey guys

I bought a pretty cool '70 Vette in Detroit (12.0:1 LS7 with alum. heads done in '72 at Diamond racing Engines) and am having the car brought to a local dyno place for RWHP measurement and tuning of the carb and T.I. distributor - anybody in the area that can videotape it for me please? - will pay expenses etc. Just like to have the session on tape, I am pretty excited, but cannot be there in person...thanks in advance

How can you NOT be there for this? Its like missing your kid's first birthday party?

Unless of course you're missing the dyno session to attend your kid's first birthday party... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

ha - already have a trip planned to go get the car in July, so that's my travel budget for trips to the U.S. in 2013 right there.

The car has been given a look over and signatures by many big names of the 1970 corvette engineering group - Gib Hufstaeder, Zora's right hand man, and international road race-winning L88 corvette Owens-Corning team member - included.

The original owner was disappointed the LS7 was cancelled (Gib has also provided a copy of the original GM bulletin officially cancelling the LS7 for the 'Vette) so he went about ordering parts to build his own - the car has an LS7 engine assembly, ZL1 solid cam , 2nd-design L88 aluminum heads, factory L88 hood with L88 air cleaner assembly, factory L88 dual-disc clutch, M22, L88 aluminum radiator assembly, full heavy-duty J56 brake package, and a rare set of OK Kustom headers and side pipes that were provided by GM engineering for L88/ZL1 road racers, they have GM part numbers stamped in them. It'a cool car - the guy even went so far as to have the pad gang-stamped with a CLZ suffix code, apply an LS7 12:1 console plate applied in the original position by the shifter (removing the original LS5 454 390 HP plate) and apply an LS7 emission sticker in the engine compartment. I expect it to be a beast.

I first noticed the car at MCACN in the barn finds and hidden gems section and tracked down the owner Werner Meier ( who has restored many original Corvette concept cars).

I have to cancel the offer. My wife gave the video camera away because we never use it.
