canadian-built Judges have the option code for The Judge package, the transmission type and special orders on the trim tag itself, hence WT1, M20 and D80 - no other GM muscle car has such detail on the trim tag - look at the list of options on the gm of canada docs ...C50 and A65 are also there, as they are on the trim tag

They eventually got it right... the first design 70 Judge Spoiler weighed a heck of a lot more PLUS the stands were wider and only went through the decklid skin (not the skin plus the inner structure like MOST of the 70's) Can you guess how bad the decklids were dented around the spoiler stands?

Here is a Promotional Photo showing the wide stands and then shots of the 10A Judge Conv I did 13 years ago.

Fusor and others have great automix urethane repair products.
Prime it with flexible parts primer (Spies Heckler is the best I have seen... sprayed a blown up beach ball allowed to cure and deflated the ball... the ball was still completely covered without stress cracks in the primer)

Me too. Great design.

Is that a little welded patch on the driver's side rear of the hood? What kind of damage was there?

I'm trying to imagine how a rust hole would get in that particular spot (if that's the case).

Very common with Ram air hoods because the scoops would let the water lay in the back of the hood and they are always rotted out.

04-04-2013, 04:36 PM
Thanks for the info Don, makes sense. The guy that fixed it the first time didnt address the rust issues and it came back . If you look at the picture you can see the old rust square is laying the other side of the hood on the bench. Here is how he fixed the bottom of the fenders. Please forgive me if someone out there fixed this like this its not my intent to bash you <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/scholar.gif

So scoop color has no correlation to engine option for either '69 or '70?

I'm in tear down mode. Off the frame, frame repaired and off to powdercoat.

Someone apparently couldn't get motor mounts out without an air hammer (both sides were like this):

Motor mount area repaired with a new plate welded in:

I would like to thank Barry who works at the body shop next to me for taking the time to help George with the front bumper on my GTO. He shared his knowledge to help make sure there would not be any stress cracks on this bumper. Thats what it's all about. Do not buy the cheap products for this bumper or you will be sorry.
