As a hint, I'll say that Bruce is *really* close.

Curt,
This tag should belong to N613347 from Marshall in Reading, PA, a known car, unless I'm off on body numbers. It is strange that the body number is 100 away from the known group of style trim cars, from Yenko of course. This should get interesting.

Curt,
Ok, I looked at a picture of another real tag from an X11 Yenko, this tag looks good but is a repro I believe. They are getting better at the repro tags and at modifying real tags. This body number is not with the real X11 Yenko Camaros thats for sure.

I think the story goes like this:
That is the Yenko that was stolen and VIN tag removed.
A car using that VIN was sold out of state. Several years later, car moved from FL back to PA. But wait, the original car is still titled (with a state issued VIN tag) in PA. Oopsie. Court case ensues.
This is the repro tag from that ordeal....

Auction description:
"I was going through some stuff and found this 1969 camaro trim Tag in the toolbox.
It is a 1969 Camaro Cowl Data Trim Tag X11 LeMans Blue Code 71/ 711 Black Interior
It was removed years ago from a 1969 Camaro With LeMans Blue exterior and Black Standard Interior. I have a picture of the car before it was sold.
The car was a race car and got a aluminum firewall so no trim tag was needed."

I am amazed that you can even re sell vin tags? Here in New Zealand you would go to jail for that and would get extra time for reproducing one.

Thats not a vin tag. Its a cowl data tag. I believe its illegal in Ohio? Not sure but it may be illegal in other states as well.

They got the X code wrong as that Yenko is an X44. Trim tag never removed from actual Yenko.
