Would like some opinions on what a fair price would be for the following:

1st Item - Chevy 350 w/ 4-bolt main, .30 over, steel crank, forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum Performer RPM heads w/ 2.02/1.94 valves, Performer RPM intake, MSD distributor w/ MSD6AL box and wires, Holley 600 CFM Carb (Brand new in box). The engine has never been run, but would need to be torn down and cleaned as it has been sitting for 10 years.

2nd Item - Muncie M-21 Transmission. Codes on tranny are P8E01 and 28B141905. Rebuilt and has not been run. Would come with a brand new Centerforce clutch.

I have decided to go with an LS3 E-Rod kit for my '69 Camaro and will be selling these to help fund the new set-up. Thoughts on pricing would be welcome. Thanks.

I'll take a shot.

First, understand most guys would rather piece together their own engine (and tranny for most of us). Crap shoot buying what someone else put together, even if it was done perfectly, you can't tell.

M-21 brings anywhere from $600 to $1200 w/o the clutch.
Sold from a vendor with a warranty, a bit more.
Of course, the guy who owns the Pontiac it came out of... well, more to him, if that car is still around.

Would need more info on the 350. Crank standard? 1182 crank? Those bring a premium. Unfortunately, you can probably sell it off piece by piece for more. In a hurry to sell? You will take a bigger hit, and have a hard time finding a buyer.

Thanks Lynn. The crank is 10/10 and is not an 1182 version.

Any ideas on what vehicle the Muncie may have come from with the partial VIN of 28B141905?

Have to ask the Pontiac guys to find out for sure, but I think the B is for Baltimore, which produced Chevelles, El Caminos as well, maybe other "A" body cars?
Bet GTO Don knows.

Most likely a GTO.
