I thought I would post another sign here, I'm sorry it's not exactly car memorabilia, but I know there are a lot of Texas guys here and many cross collectors. Charley, if you don't think this is appropriate for this site, I understand.

The sign measures 12" X 20" and has a porcelain finish and is pretty heavy for its size weighing 3 1/2 pounds. Someone used it for target practice and it has five gun shots in it, but NOT through the sign. Hey, what else would you expect from a Texas sign! The really strange thing is that this sign made it up here to Chicago where I live. (My friend had it for many years) I looked up Matthews Ranch in Texas and found some interesting info:

In the first linked article it says the owner was John Matthews, I wonder if that's the significance of the J with the hood over it on the sign? I cleaned off the "rust run" on the sign and put some automotive wax on it and it looks really good, a lot better then the pics.
I would sell it for $200 SHIPPED anywhere in the lower 48 United States. PLEASE call me or e-mail me if interested, I don't get to monitor this site as much as I would like to.
