We like to reminisce about the old days but what do you want to forget about the "Good Old Days"?

Mine:
-men's permed hair..sadly i did this once because a girlfriend talked me into it..
-Tv show "Maude"
-Debbie Boone song "You light up my life"
-Captain & Tennille-the guy always wore that goofy captains hat
-My parents avocado stove and refrigerator
-Fender flare on cars
-Leisure suits (had an uncle who wore a light blue one for years to every family function)
-goofy polyester shirts with funky graphics-sadly i owned a few of these..what in the heck was I
thinking?

Disco bars. I hated them. I like whiskey drinkin, pool playing, fisticuff bars.

The problem, at least in my area the bars you described it was 80% men, 20% women and the disco bars was fairly evenly split. Hated to dance though and rarely did- just to the slow stuff. Typical white guy dancing..not good.

The guys who were good dancers did get the women at these bars though...even the ugly guys.

I was a teen in the late 70's and the Farrah Fawcett poster and the movie "The Deep" was every young guys dream..if we saw a Playboy mag that was considered the ultimate.

Still love Jaqueline Bissett-still remember the "outrage" this movie produced and this is tame today.

By 1975, muscle cars were for all intents and purposes dead, and Hot Rod Magazine was featuring customized vans <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif Vehicularly speaking, the world as I knew it had come to an end, and those were some truly depressing times....the pictures above of that 'Cuda and Corvette are photographic evidence of same!

I once got dressed up in a lime green leisure suit to mess with some buddies and that damn thing was so comfortable that I ended up wearing it for several hours and really didn't care what anybody else thought. I learned how easy it was to become "that guy".

<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/mad.gif "Don't go messin' with my Lava Lamp Jack!"

I used to wear some Bell Bottom Coca Cola pants when I ran the starting line at our drag strip. Fortunately (so far) no one has any photographic evidence of it. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Another embarassing time we lived through, clothing-wise: ............ the "Miami Vice" era. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/sick.gif

Actually looking at the 'vette again if it was not roof chopped, and did not have those funky hood scoops and had different paint it would look nice. I love flares on vette's when done right.

Saw one of there a few days ago. Not one of Ford's better ideas. I hadn't seen one in 20 years, thought they were all scraped and the front ends used on street rods.

I actually think that Mustang II is kinda cool-looks very clean..Never liked them for years but now I do...and I'm finding myself liking a bunch of cars from that era.
