Welcome to the site Chris. There are likely several people on the site here who can help you. We would love to hear more about it and see some photos.

YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY

Congrats on buying a CG Deuce! If you bought John's car, then you should know that it is the 138th Deuce produced out of the 175, and is one of just 10 in CG. Of those 10 produced, 6 remain (4 are 4 speeds and 2 are a/t's). Your CG Deuce was produced by Chevrolet under order # QLL531 in 06B (2nd week of June, 1970) and is part of the later order of Deuces (50) that were converted by Hurst as opposed to Yenko. The record keeping was not always in sync between Hurst and Yenko, thus your car did not have an HYS-### stock number recorded on Yenko's Inventory Sheets. Your car was turned pretty quickly in that it went to Thorstad Chev (previously Hult Chev) in Madison, WI on 7/9/70, salesman unknown. Your original key numbers are: 3F88 & 9G47.

The 1970 VIN list should be on the site here, but I have Yenko's Inventory Sheet with your car on it - you are welcome to it, along with a host of other info. Just send me a PM with your contact info.

However, a letter of authenticity might be a bit harder to obtain! Not many folks are willing to verify a car anymore, too many have ended up in court later on. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif

Got any pics?
