View Full Version : 1969 Yenko driven to prom
Rob's oldest daughter Taylor (in red) thought it would be cool if her and her date, plus another couple, drove one of our cars to her high school prom. Since Rob and Jonathan had taken the Camaro in the past, we thought it would be neat to let them take the Nova.

So, was Daddy in the back seat with a shotgun, to make sure the boy didn't do anything ungentlemanly to his "baby"?
...or his daughter? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Did Taylor drive or her date? (neither of my sons-in-law have wheeled the Chevelle even though I've offered)

very cool of you..
Taylor has never driven a stick, so her date drove. Needless to say he was a little nervous, killed it a couple of times taking off, but soon got the hang of it.
After they got to the prom and everyone had a chance to see their ride, Rob took the car back to the shop, rather then leave it in the lot unattended.
Dennis, we changed the wheels/tires/exhaust back to stock, as we thought the day 2 race theme (sound) might be a little much.

I love my daughter dearly... BUT she, or her "hormone charged" boy friend, would never touch my 427 Nova....or my C5 Corvette Maybe my 97 minivan... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
