Love the 72's. Back in summer of 72 just before my senior year in high school I went to my local dealer to order one. Sat down with salesman and ordered a red with black top SS 454 4 speed. I think it came up to like $4500.00. I said order it I have cash. He took order to sales manager. A few minutes later came out with bad news. He was told they already shut down for model change of the 73. I said OK order that. He said OK but there is a big body change and you may not like it so I told him to hold off until they came out and I could see if I liked them. Good choice! Ended up buying a 72 Roadrunner!
