I'm thinking about buying this car, just wanted to hear some of your thoughts on this car. How can I tell if it's a real 72 SS402.
Thanks for any help on this.

According to the sellers ad, it says LS3 on the trim tag. I believe that is the code for the 396 option.

Well, the engine code will be in the VIN for a 1972 car, and the SS was the only way to get the 402. I think they made just under 1000 that year. Not sure what the code is but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Vin digit 5 is a U on original LS3 Camaros, 1972 only.
Engine stamping noted in the ad is wonky, needs further clarification and inspection if it's supposed to be the original lump?
Google this complete VIN - 1Q87U2N158311
Looks like it's been advertised/sold for less recently?
Best of luck w/everything!

Not a bad price if real and stamps check out. 72 is a low prod year.

I'd buy Darren's instead <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
