I'm starting to get all the power disc brake parts together for the 69 Nova, to go from 4 wheel non power drum, to power front disc/rear drum brakes. I know there is a metering valve, and the distribution block in front/under the master cylinder.

What I don't know, is there suppose to be another valve (hold off valve) on the frame rail under the driver side door? I know my 69 Camaro had that hold off valve, but I'm not sure if the metering valve by the master does that job, or do I still need the hold off valve on the frame.

I can't find anything in the Nova assembly manual showing this hold off valve.

I don't think there is a valve on the frame rail of the 69 nova Bill. Not sure the 69 novas ever got that valve under the floor. I have a 69 SS survivior SB car and it does not have that valve.

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like Nova's didn't get the valve that Camaro's got. Thanks again...Bill

Bill, correct info about the frame valve not used on Nova. FYI, the hold off valve is the round one, holds off the front disc's till around 40 psi is sensed at the rear. Keeps the car from nose diving.
The frame valve used one Camaro is a pressure regulator for the rear drums.
Good explanation @ CRG.

Vendors never use the correct names.

Thanks Mike. That's one less part I have to deal with. I also needed to know so I could order the brake lines. They offer a 2 piece front to rear brake line, but it sounds like that would be for Camaro only.

Two piece for Nova {no frame valve} the kit has a brass fitting union to make it work.
