My friend is looking at this car for 11k... Don't know squat about them. Any thoughts?

tough to build them for that, my boss had one I painted black for him, they actally are pretty cool to poke around town in but I think they look best with the mega steam rollers on the back.

I've got one that I've had for about 4 years that I think I'm going to sell I just never drive it.. Its way way cooler than that one! IMO..

Mines a old show car from the 70's still wearing its original psychedelic paint (which is still super nice), Vintage Stewart Warner gauges, 350/ 4 speed, Vintage 10 spoke spindle front wheels, Aluminum Slots out back, 57 chevy rear with 4.10's, brass radiator shell and Horn, diamond tuff interior, and its the old style with the cool side arm steering, its a bad ass little car.. (basically an untouched hot rod from the 70's I still even have the Parnelli Jones Tires that came on the rear when I bought it)

Id take 12k for it let me know if you want some pictures..

These are really an acquired taste & I personally like to see em & give their owners much respect today.Especially when still holding the vintage parts.
But todays youth doesn't seem to notice or feel the same, and prices for these are really lagging.
I saw 2 for sale here last summer, both asking 12K-15K.
Both owners ended up selling them in the fall for 7K-8K and told me they were surprised by the little interest they encountered.

I'm normally not into T's either but I bet this one with the 4-speed is a blast to drive around. Love the vintage parts I see all over it!

We all know what a personal opinion is worth, right? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif But here goes anyway.

T-buckets have to have the right 'Vibe' to look right and be cool. The ebay T has too many modern parts. For the price difference, Andrew has the ebay T beat by a mile. Wide weenies, TRUE A.R.E. spindle mounts, the Scoop air cleaner, the diamond pleated seats, a 4 speed, ........ and that paint!!!!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

Sorry Dude: NO CONTEST! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/cool.gif

T's are growing on me..a local one, also a '70's car just sold for $8k, kinda looked like quick-bowtie's but had a polished tunnel ram, slots all around.. a couple little cosmetic things I would have changed but that's it.

Wish I saw it for sale.

Regarding your "T"

Please don't take this wrong. Very nice car but a couple low dollar mods would really change the appearance for the better and help resale.

1. paint the yellow tie rods up front gloss black

2. Put on some sort of finned valve cover as the ones on it right now are modern Autozone cheapo's .

3. Put the fuel filler neck inside of the T's "bed"- a good painter can blend in the paint.

4. Lose the tail lights and square nerf bars.. Put on a set of '39 Ford or other era tailights (also 46-48 Ford, early 50's Pontiac-all repoed) on the rear bed on either side of the "Ford" logo.. All the tail lights I mentioned where very popular on T's.
