Why do L78 Chevelle's bring 1/2 the money as a little uni-body column shift Nova? Because it's top motor in Nova, and Chevelle is "only" a 396 ?

I'm not sure on that one.I've seen a number of L78 Novas in the 23-26 range.I don't see many L78 Chevelles under 35.I love both and had a number of each.I've always considered the Chevelle a more expensive car.
