69 Camaro
The small emblems that go on the deck lid and the header panel.
I hesitate to use anything repro because most is crap.
Are the repros of these any good?
One of mine is pitted. The other was perfect, but a post twisted off last night while installing. Crap.

I think I have 2 NOS ones in the box Lynn. "Camaro" in script for top of fender and trunk lid.

Lynn,
If you have to go with repop,i would go with parts made by Trim Parts.Herd nothing but good things about Trim Parts.Of course, anything NOS is the best if you can find what your looking for.

Not always true Mark. The newer NOS parts are not as crisp and fit and finish leaves alot to be desired sometimes. The dyes got pretty old and not as sharp as stuff from the 70's-80's. I love good used sheetmetal and early NOS trim parts. JMO

Apparently Trim parts doesn't make the 68 69 emblem. They have the 70 emblem.

Couple NOS ones on ebay, but pics aren't clear enough to see how nice they are.

3916654 is the header and trunk emblem part number.
Just beware of the flawed later NOS emblems that have the B in By that's all boogered up like this:

And this was one of them...at least in my case. I found two NOS ones to use. There is a blem in the NOS parts in the B in "By Chevrolet" (see above) ....You need the OLD stock to avoid this casting error. Not huge, but the details count.

Thanks for all the tips.

Thanks to Sam I have two of the EARLY NOS ones on the way.

This board is great.

BTW, I will be selling some of my spare emblems for 69 Z. Almost all were purchased in the 70's when the 28 was still silver. Probably need to wait a couple weeks to sort through all my extra stuff.

I have three NOS ones, what is a fair price for them?

Lynn

Not sure what is fair. There are two singles on ebay right now, but neither are selling. One is priced at $100, the other at $125.

I believe $100 is "all the money". I will get some pics and list them here in the next few days for a little less. Let me know if you need some.

I think you are correct Dave. I am not sure a fellow would sell very many at that price.

I try to price stuff here a little under market. Some things just for free. I have received so much help here, it just seems the right way to go.
