Thanks,

ET, Mr Gasket and Cal Custom finned aluminum(all the same btw-made by same co. just repackaged) or Chrome.

Moroso Gold was more mid 70's.

I bought the housing for the cover,$20, then find out it's a 69 dated 3.73 out of a Camaro complete with Positraction. Right tube is ok the other I have replaced..And here I thought I was only getting a neat cover..LOL

So it is E-T 12 bolt cover re-boxed as a Sun Crest, more suitable.

Are the new finned versions essentially the same as the old ones?

The new repo ones by Moon and other companies are identical in shape..

The only thing I have noticed is the new ones have a more rough sandcast finish while the originals were smoother and not as rough-just had a very light surface texture.. Maybe a finer grade sand was used back then?

I thought the new finned covers don't have the circle for the sticker at the bottom of them.

Those covers were not available back in the day.. I just went to the Mooneyes site and cannot find the old Motion style/Cal Custom/ET/mr Gasket style 12 bolt repo covers..I know they were available last year because I saw them in their catalog.

Must have been discontinued.

Yep they bolt on (drill and tap).

Marlin, these ET covers are not Day 2 era..they are modern covers. The Old style 12 bolt finned covers we are familiar with are repos and used ones are available on ebay just about every day of the week.

Very nice...Does anyone make those Motion stickers to go in the center? Any certain bolts that these covers used?

Same Motion stickers that Motion put on the wheel center caps.

I don't know if you can see the &quot; ? &quot; I put on my cover back in 1992, but it was a good conversation piece.

Thanks for the replys. I'm looking for something that would pass MCACN judging. Not sure what time frame they consider period correct ? 70? 72? 77 ? thx <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: whitetop</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Moon site says these are for Fords?

MCACN wants the Day-2 parts within a year or so of the car. Dru Diesner or Benny Pfeiffer can help you with this.

Hey Joe,
The pic that you show of your cover, is that day(2) correct? I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ just would like to know if that correct.
Thanks In Advance
