Great info Joe. They do look like that. Now I would like to find a set of 4..BKHhttp://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2013/05/full-10-4932-image001.jpg
Could these be them???
hard to tell, but the centers look different

I agree. Since Nickey sold Rader mags, perhaps they are Rader's..

sure looks like the wheel right side center pic without the cyclone background. ask Detroit Vintage Wheel.

Doesn't look like any of those to me. They all look like the spoke runs out to the rim, whereas the ones above have a black(?) separation area before the spoke meets rim.

They look like the DBR-800-M to me. Are you looking for a set of Nickey wheels?

Found these old ads as well. I am leaning towards the Raders. Whatever they are I am sure it will be a tough road to find a set...BKH

They could very well be Rader Wheels, but none of the ad wheels look the same to me. I would say though that the DBR-500-D (top right wheel) looks closest to me. The center looks zero dished though. The 800-M looks like the center is out and the wheels in the original post look like the center is dished in.

Look again. The glare might be confusing, and the shape of the openings between spokes is different. Just MHO, of course, not trying to get into a contest unless Brian is offering a prize..

Brian,
I found this HAMB thread that I think has your answer. Apparently Appliance Apaches were very similar to another wheel called the Stingray offered at the same time. If you look at the Stingray ad, you will see that same type of center cap and that the space between the spoke and the rim lip is less than on the Apache. I think you're looking for Stingrays.
(Last pic is the Stingray vs. Apache side by side)
HAMB discussion I took pics from: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279782

How about a kool SCW sweatshirt as a prize? Anyway, the mag mystery is getting closer. It may very well be the latest pictures. I hope to have a few clearer pictures. Thanks for all the input!

This is a newly found Yenko Camaro 8015 sold at Roy Stauffer in Scranton PA. It is Rally Green and was delivered with the mags in the picture. SCW/Arone will be restoring this one and the search for the missing mag wheels is on...BKH

Ed, I think you wanted to see the rear...Maybe the SS cap blackout??? You can clearly see that gas cap is very flat black paint against the tail panel. BTW that is the clock form the showroom, how kool is that!
That is the owner at age 19...

The owner told me that the car came without hood springs and a cheapo wooden hood prop. When he wanted to upgrade to the tunnel ram, he talked to Stauffer and they called Yenko and sent up the original SS hood for him to cut up. He figured he should SAVE the glass hood. Good move. Also he said shortly after he had the car the radio reception was so poor that he took it back to Stauffer and the added the rear antenna and plugged and painted the fender top. That fixed the problem, The glass hood was apparently causing static. He said Roy Stauffer had two Yenko Camaros and both were driven to the dealership at the same time. His RG one a what he called a light blue one. One of the cars flat towed a race prepped Stinger back to the dealership. Can you imagine seeing two 427 Yenko Camaros and one flat towing a Stinger, WOW..BKH

The car is disassembled and was placed on a rotisserie. As in the first picture. The car was started by somebody else, BUT he felt it needed better. So we are going to start over on a very solid car overall...

can I have it?
great find, always nice to have baby pictures
looks like no SS or Yenko emblem on the grill and blacked out gas cap
did it have factory installed rear spoiler?
bkhpah

Yes it is a factory spoiler car, but he claims it never had the front installed. No grill emblem and no Yenko badge on the glove box...BKH

This is the tach he said was in the car on delivery, A Sun unit. Under the dash you can see the S/W black face gauges with the wood grain appliqué. There are no visible signs on the firewall of there ever being a 990 B monitor box. And you can see the custom steering wheel. And yes the car had hood pins. The original hood does not even have provisions to bolt the hood catch to it..BKH

I am kinda partial but I would like to see the car with the Cragars/chrome reverse rear, Edelbrock Tunnel ram, and scoop, tow bar brackets...but it's not mine...
Wish more guys would run the chrome reverse rear . So many cars ran this way back in the day.

I'm not sure of the 5-spoke wheel manufacturer either but they really, really remind me of the wheels on the original 1968 Hot wheels Camaro! The Camaro looks like a full-size Hot Wheel car.

That is EXACTy what I thought the first time I saw the stock pictures. And that is great too..BKH
great photos - thanks for posting
It's interesting that Yenko even removed the SS emblems from the fenders on some cars and put the Yenko emblem over the holes.
On other cars, they left the SS on the fenders and just put the Yenko emblem above the Camaro emblem

Like this one. It is tough to see in the first photo but in person it was obvious to see where the SS emblems were hit in order to break off the tabs and then the Yenko emblem was installed in its place. You could actually see the imprint of the Yenko emblem in the original paint finish. The emblem was missing when the car was found but you could see where it was.
