Well, the Sharks took the vaunted Kings to the brink too. Not a good sign for the defending champs. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif

The Kings have the worst record amongst the 4 remaining teams in the playoffs.

The Blackhawks were the stronger team, but as we know, the better team does not always advance (look at the Lakers). It sometimes takes a few breaks along the way, with skill. The NHL is extremely competitive.

And yes, this guy will be cracking a few sticks.

The Kings lost both of their best stay-at-home defensemen for the entire season and had a goalie coming off back surgery. For most of the season we were the youngest team in the NHL. The Hawks have stayed relatively healthy for the season. The Sharks outplayed the Kings much of the series but we found a way to win it even without our best faceoff guy who was taken out by the Sharks thug (yes, the same Raffi Torres).

Going to be a great series. Let's hope the winner can stay healthy and go on to take out those east coast wimps.

There's been some good hockey this playoff season. Now that it's down to the final four I'm hoping for a Hawks/Bruins matchup. I hate the Pens, but they look unstoppable, especially on the Power Play.

The Bruins are a BIG team, lots of guys over the standard 6' 1&quot; height and 200 lb average weight of the NHL. The Blackhawks are going to feel some pain.

Predictions:

Charra, who likes to pick on the best player of the opposing team (in the Penguins series, it was Crosby), will target Toews or Kane. He's great at doing that, and it's an effective tactic.

Early in the first game, Bickel will probably get his bell rung....hard. They need to rattle him early. Wouldn't be surprised to see some major penalties early in this series.

Both teams have great goalies.

The Blackhawks will have to be physical. Both teams are great, and deserve to be in the Stanley Cup. I believe the Blackhawks will take the series in 7 games.

I think Boston is a lil better team,but we have home field advantage,so I see this as being a great match up.

When you look at the two rosters they both seem to be equally strong in the forward and defense positions. When it comes to goaltending I would give the edge to Rask.

I agree and have to believe this will go down as one of the most evenly matched series as well. A ton of talent on both sides. Many on the current Hawks Cup roster (Saad, Shaw, Crawford, Bickell, and others) came up through the Rockford Icehogs - the local AHL team here in Rockford so we have been fortunate to have seem them before they were &quot;famous&quot;.

Now all Crawford has to do is figure out how to stop the puck from his glove side.........Go Hawks!

Not likely Dan. I've been an Islanders fan since the late 1970's when they drafted Ontario Junior A star Dennis Potvin. We had a great run in the early 80's, but not much since. However, they did give the Penguins a run for their money in the first round this year. They hopefully will have a good future with their young team.

The best cup in the World is the Stanley Cup by far, which is a handful to carry and you can drink out of something were legends like Orr-Gretzky-Howe etc... had there lips all over it too.

We laughed so hard when we heard Shaw yelling &quot;F'in A!!!&quot; over and over again. On the last utterance of that phrase, they finally turned the microphones down. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

For those not living around here, and maybe aren't familiar with the Blackhawks organization, it really sucked trying to follow the Blackhawks when Bill Wirtz was President. Known as &quot;Dollar Bill&quot; Wirtz, he forbid Blackhawks home games to be shown on TV unless they were picked up by national broadcasters, which only happened when the Blackhawks made the playoffs. He was disliked by all the fans, and over the years, he was responsible for letting some great players go, including Dennis Savard, Ed Belfour, and even as far back as Booby Hull and Phil Esposito.

When he passed away in 2007, the torch was passed to his son Peter, then later to Rocky Wirtz. Things have been fantastic ever since. Policy change, and Blackhawk games were aired on TV for the fans. Since then, we've captured two Stanley Cups since 2010. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif
