I don't want to make any mistakes so I am in hopes that someone on this site can ID this fuel pump and tell me the date and year that it was built for. I believe it came off a running 1969 Chevelle SS.
Thanks,
Al in Maine

Do you think it is original or a repop?

probably real. I think I read the repops had a circle around ac. It did appear to be correct for a hi perf big block

The #727 is the hi-perf unit found on the L78 cars and others...the "72" is not part of the date.

More info. Prior to around 1971, fuel pumps used 2 letters at the start of the stampings. First was month, second was year. Around 71, they dropped the first letter and used the Julian day of year then was the letter for the year. 2 things show this is a 71 or after pump. The day and year codes

Bill...I seem to recall another post about the dates on these. Thanks for the update...I have several originals...will have to look at the stampings and report back.
