I have seen many and know many Chicago Area Muscle Cars......but it`s always neat to see one I have never seen before.

The current owner is the second owner of this Nickey Nova, he purchased it in 1973 from the original owner. Original owner is still alive today. A real Shadow Gray paint Nova. Even the wheels are still the same wheels as purchased in 1973.

Not too many 17-17 Code Shadow Gray Nova`s out there......if this is a Real Nickey Nova....I`d say it`s safe to say it`s the ONLY Shadow Gray Nickey Nova.

SO COOL!

Neat..looks good with those wheels...couldn't quite read the cowl tag date..thinking it might be an early car with those T-clips holding the radiator flap....most 70's have the buttons. Or maybe they were changed at some point??

Thanks for the Nova pics Dan,always good to see Novas.Looks like a nice car.My survivor 70 BB is a 01C built car with the plastic buttons holding the flap down.I find it interesting with the T-clips also.

that is a nice car! Would be even nicer if the owner would clean it up a little. Nova's get no respect!

Sam, cut the guy some slack......at least he's driving it.

The story is that he purchased the car from a NicKey Chevrolet Mechanic in 1976-77 for $1,800.00 againts and asking price of $2,200.00. He said the mechanic also had a '73 SD TA, and one toy had to go. He also said that the car is very much like he purchased it back then.

I always admire people that drive their cars no matter how nice or how expensive they are. No lawn ornaments is my opinion.

Is this a Nickey sold car or a Nickey modified car?

Don't have the answer to either of those questions, at this point.

They had 'Phases' for their Novas didn't they, like a Phase I, II or III? I have an old advertisement for someone selling a '69 Nickey Nova Phase III

Cool piece. Had a friend who bought a SS 350 shadow grey Nova new in 70. Traded it for a 69 Vette and wrecked it.

He had ET mags on it. Very underrated color.

We have a Nickey sold 69 SS 396 Chevelle in the shop now. Will try to have pics posted.

Stage I, II and III. Phases were the other guys on the East Coast.

This is a thread about a Nickey Nova, but I'm interested in your rear. How much do you want for it?

'

I posted this 12/73 Nickey Nova ad w/ link in the Nova Supercars thread but thought best land it here too.
Considering year/options/color + location also '73 when original owner set it free, it's likely this subject car.
:beers:
