GM Retiree Day

What was envisioned at a trip to GM by the Norwood retirees months ago has now developed into an event. It is called GM Retiree day..and it will be held on November 13 at the closed to the public GM heritage collection in Warren MI.

I could not think of a better venue to Network among the Retirees from not just Norwood-but all of the Assembly and Manufacturing plants within GM umbrella-as they are all invited! These are the plants that even today define the interest and discussion that has (and still) underpins many of the technical topics on these forums.

There is a limited opportunity for NON GM and NON retiree attendance at this event. We can discuss here or send me a PM. You would attend as a guest of the Norwood Plant and there is just a few spots open. If you want to go you will need to RSVP and there will be a minor cost per guest to attend. I will check in with the Heritage center....it would be cool to try to network some contacts with the plant personnel. An area off to the side perhaps where retirees could meet and greet with people with genuine research interest.

GM has advanced the cut off date for the official guest list. I am told they are rolling out the red carpet including special cars that are not normally on display.

If you want to attend GM needs to know by tomorrow to finalize the event arrangements-so if you are on the fence let me know so I can complete the attendance listing for submission.
