Not sure where the best place to post this is so I thought I would start here. I am going to be at the MCACN and staying at the Crowne Plaza. Am flying in late Friday afternoon and going back home Sunday evening, so I will be at the show for both days. Does Yenko.net have a booth or gathering area where Members are likely to congregate? While there I would like meet and shake hands with some of the characters, er make that gentlemen, that inhabit this site. If such a place will exist where will it be? Thanks for any help in this regard and look forward to putting some faces with screen names.

Having been there in the past...a lot of them congergate in the lobby of the hotel right across the street. They ususally have a get together on Friday.... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Which hotel and what time?
I also enjoy meeting E-car buddies for real. (nice to put a face to an E-name)

If that's the case my understanding is the hotel that is directly across the street is the Crowne Plaza which is where I'm staying. But there are also other hotels across the street too.
Thanks Bruce.

David,
The Double Tree and the Embessy Suites are directly across the street, the Double Tree was party central last year.
there will be quite a few of us floating around all weekend.

Dave; great to hear you will be joining us this year at MCACN. Let me give you some "inside tips" as to where some of the action is taking place, Yenko.net wise.
First off, our Z/28 Invitational is being led by Charley Lillard. He may not know that yet, but he'll find out when he gets there! If you see him riding by on a bike, tell him to return it to me! Several other members, including Dru Diesner aka psYco,(69), Don Stowers (67) as are Chris P. (67) from Texas and others will be in that area. I have to believe during show hours, this area will indeed be a happening spot.
Over in our Original Owners group, look for the tall Gentleman near the Hugger Orange ZL1 and the other grey haired guy near the black LS6 Chevelle. These are two guys you need to meet in person. Spending time with either one of these guys is worth the price of admission alone, I guarantee!
Brian Henderson and the SCW crew will have display with three awesome cars; a '69 Yenko Chevelle, a gorgeous L78 Nova and a super fresh '69 Pace Car owned by yenko.net member JoeD from Texas.
You will find Stefano in the Nickey display right up front, and another Yenko.net member will be unveiling a very special car in the Nickey booth Saturday morning. I'll let him check in on that...
You'll find Tommy Nolen in our Class of 1963 Invitational near his awesome black 406 4-speed Galaxie.
Oh...and the hotels; The Crowne, the DoubleTree and the Embassy Suites are all right across the street and side by side. The DoubleTree serves as the main "party central" location, as we literally take over the whole place. We occupy over half of both the Crowne and the Embassy and we also have people at the aLoft, which is behind the Crowne. Over 1300 room nights have been sold to MCACN participants and spectators this year, so looks like we are pretty much taking over all of Rosemont this year! BTW, You will find the <span style="font-style: italic">psYco Lounge</span>, hosted by our own Dru, in the lobby of the Doubletree. Enter at your own risk!
Be sure to stop by the show office and meet me and Vicki!
This is just the beginning and I am just going by memory. I am kinda fried right now, after working on the floorplan all day and then taking two of my granddaughters out for Trick or Treating, (age 2 and 4); I encourage all yenko.net members to chime in!
Counting down the days.

Dang Bob, you spoiled it!!! I had Dave believing the Crown Plaza was 2 miles down the road and on the other side of the interstate. Actually, Dave is a neighbor and believe it or not a pretty good guy with some very serious cars. We travel together to some shows, he should have a car in the show but his turn is coming a few years....the class of '66

I think everyone should be required to wear one of those high school reunion stickers on their lapel with their Yenko.net member name...and a photo attached of them dating to the year of the car they are displaying.

Steve, That's a great idea...Not. I got grey. The car didn't. I think we met 20 or so years ago. I will find you at the show and find out if indeed we came across one another. Muscle Car Nationals at ATCO? I'll find you.
Bob, Thanks for the help on the layout of the show. Very helpful. I was in the vicinity with one of my cars at the Chevy/Vette Fest in 1992. That was at the McCormick center in downtown IIRC. Tommy called me this evening and offered the magazine to me so I can get a feel for the layout so that I don't waste any time.
Tommy Nolen: Thanks for the kind words. Guys, check out his 63 Galaxie 406-405 car. Super nice car and a great guy. He has kind of a dry sense of humor. He jerked me around in a phone conversation earlier this evening by telling me that The Crowne Plaza that I will be staying at was 4 miles away and across the interstate!! LOL.
That's the way he is. Look him up.
Looking forward to meeting everyone that I can.

Somebody needs to work on their "people skills".
I have some labels with some really good adhesive. I'll print the logo and spaces for names but they won't be at my car.
They'll be stuck on a Bolero Red Z-28. Just stop by and grab one. Mind you; the adhesive is VERY STRONG so pull hard. And if it pulls some paint with it, ....... Just grab another one. The car will be covered so there shouldn't be a shortage. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif

My car will be there - 70 GTO, RAIV, M21, 4.33, manual drums, manual steering, radio delete, bench seat! I can't make it b/c I'm active duty Army and can't break away from my job in Korea so Darrell Davidson (Supercar Creations in Norton, OH; he did the resto) will be showing it.
Hoping to find a professional photographer in attendance who can do a photo shoot of the car. I'll pay a reasaonable amount for this, of course. If you know of one, can you pm me?

Maybe something like this? Everyone can write their names on them. People know usernames better than real ones sometimes <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2014/11/full-18993-18416-registry1a.jpg
This is about the extent of my computer saaviety (saaviety?) since as you can see, that's a picture taken with my phone so I could turn it into a picture to post. I know, sad. Funny, but sad. But that's an idea at least! I think there is a business card template on Word that maybe that logo can be printed out multiple times on a self adhesive backed paper. Put them in a booth somewhere, and everyone could take one each day at the show if they wanted to. Just a thought.
See you guys there!

I will make the tags. How many were you thinking? Would be a good project to work on during the Bengals game on Sunday since we gave up first place to the Brownies.. let me know. Tks. Jason

I thought I might hear from you Steve! You're welcome. That was bad. I had a few choice words for Dalton and I turned on something else.

Agreed Mike. Life as a Bengal fan. We are used to some type of meltdown at somepoint during the season.

My small contribution to all here that have helped me with questions and parts. Glad to help
I will be leaving Cincinnati on Friday.. barring any issues, I should roll into the Double Tree around 2-2:30.
If they need to be there any sooner, I will be happy to ship. I would just need an address and I can get them out today or tomorrow. Otherwise, I can hand them off on Friday.
Thanks, Jason.

Another great show. It was nice to see some folks from MCACN 2013 and SLS 6. Enjoyed talking to Ken Barnhardt about the decision to pull his original motor from his COPO and drop in a crate motor! Great guy! And he still has the vintage hauler
Thanks to Marty (Hawkeye) for delivering my recent magazine purchase as promised. It was easy to spot the Yenko.net members with the nametags.
Crammed in two stops for Chicago dogs and one Italian beef before heading back to Cincy. Now the wait for SLS 7?
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!! Food coma and football
