I looked at the blue m22 car the original
Owner lived in niagra falls ny in 97
I regret not buying that. One ( I wanted
A w30) which I have now)
The car had steel wheels white walls
And deluxe full wheel covers originally .

I like 'em both. Nobody likes original unrestored cars any more than me (I know a lot of you all do, too). I'm surprised that no OAI hoods were ever installed on either car. The factory stripes almost look aftermarket.

Hey Ryan, Glad to see you like the 442s. I still wonder about both cars and the fact that they wear the flat hoods. I guess it's like finding a '69 Z/28 with a flat hood.

The W25 hood was included in the W30 package and was an option on the non W30 442.

Wow…they are truly beautiful cars. It is refreshing to see these cars as they originally appeared for a change. I have grown tired of seeing every Oldsmobile 442 or Cutlass painted and badged as a W-30. It is so cool to see these cars as they actually appeared “back in the day”. I love seeing the correct side stripes and non ram-air hood with correct hood striping. I especially love the blue 4spd car.

When I was first looking for Oldsmobile 442’s back when I was a young man - the majority of the cars for sale were just like these two examples. The W-30s were very rare and not well known or publicized. Most of the cars for sale were standard 442s with no ram-air hood etc… Now finding a 442 that has not been transformed into some type of a W-30 or a ram-air hooded car is rare. These two cars are such exceptional original examples... someone will be very fortunate to take them home. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

That's kinda what I was getting at with my comments about the hoods on both cars. It is "odd" to see them in their original state.
