People go down on price as cars sit longer, or if they need the cash (I know nothing about this car, but I have gone down on price on cars I have sold for these reasons).
I don't think it necessarily means he was trying to get more here first then went down. It has been on the market for some time now.
Some people just want to change up their collections and in a soft market can drop the price on their car to buy a car that has the price dropped. That's what I did on my 69 COPO. I dropped the trade in price on the L78 to get the COPO at a great price.
All kinds of reasons.
Awesome car with history.

I see it as a $35,000 broker fee, am i wrong?

Only 1 problem with that theory. The seller on eBay is also the broker that tried to sell it here. I wonder if you could find the actual owner what he would sell it to you for.

Better start digging it out Rod. You have a few cars to move to get to it. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif
If his strategy was to mis-price it here to bring interest & attention to his ebay ad by getting others to reply,it worked. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

This car has been available for at least 2 years.
Why has it not sold? Obviously the big collectors are aware it is available yet it is still out there.
Car sold on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. Was a great car, with no issues, but not everyone is a fan of 2nd gen. Camaros. Was a good value as a 1st gen. BM Camaro would go for around 3 times that amount.

Nice I like the Red and white VS the Red/Blk BM that was in Chicago at MCACN. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics/usergals/2013/12/full-254-8423-100_7911.jpg

The car did not sell on ebay.
Zero feedback seller, one single bid at $150,000.
The car is still available.

But the car had no reserve, car sold.
The Ebay Seller is a very well known broker and has probably sold as many rare cars over the years as anyone in the business. He is also a member of this site, so lack of ebay feedback is not an issue for those in the hobby for a while.
I can't speak to whether the transaction actually closed following the auction on Ebay, but I personally owned that car in the past (plus 4 other BM cars) and it is a very nice, well documented 71 BM Camaro. I gave serious consideration to repurchasing it, but ended up getting something else instead. I would have no issues owning that car again. If you are in the market for a BM car, that would be a nice one to own and certainly much more affordable than a 1st gen. BM Camaro.

I'm thinking what he is saying is that the zero feedback bidder didn't go through with the sale.

OK guys!!Funny I just noticed this post!! Some of you guys just crack me up! I give YENKO.NET first dibs on cars that are only advertised here!!
The car had a STARTING BID $150,000 and RESERVE $175,000. Yes there was one bid from some fruitcake and contacted me and asked if he could get out! No problem because he was not close to reserve. I never used in over 20yrs EBAY!! This was a first and a few other cars that I tried to use EBAY and still SOLD THEM WITHOUT EBAY in the end.. If you are a TRUE & REAL buyer, YOU will be hooked up to the REAL OWNER and a matter of MINUTES!! If you know me you would know this about me!!! $35k broker fee!! You must be talking about some others brokers or dealers!! These are your hero's in the business NOT ME!! I will leave that topic for a book one day! I am one of the BEST BROKERS in the country who picks & chooses who or what I sell...
I started at 180k, because NOBODY wants to be told FIRM price, everybody wants to feel they saved a buck! This is why I charge both sides when there is NO money left on the bone and both seller & buyer throw me Bone and the car goes done the road!! $35k boy I still got to laugh! YOU DONT KNOW ME!!
The car has been sold(deposit in house) but not finished paid for, who knows till its paid in full..

You can get the 73 Baldwin Motion Chevelle for $150k or a 71 Baldwin Motion Camaro for $175K and or a 69 Baldwin Motion $400K. Get threw a few questions and YOU TOO can talk to the REAL OWNER!! These #'s have NOT changed in the falling market that we had and it sure wont change with the rising market coming back up!!!
Have a great day!!!
