Hello All,
New to the forum and thought I'd tap into the expertise. Was hoping there may be a few folks willing to play detective and help verify the numbers on my 67 Camaro RS/SS Yenko Tribute. I've been doing quite a bit of research and feel pretty confident in what I've got, but other opinions never hurt. Especially from those more knowledgeable than me.
Here's the numbers.
Engine:
engine code - T0703LR = Tonawanda - July 3rd '69 - LR = '69 Corvette 427 4 speed 3X2 BC 435hp?
partial VIN - 19S725437 = chevy - '69 - St Louis - 725437 = orig car ending VIN numbers
casting code - 3963512 = corroborates '69 427? - any chance engine is COPO? Have conflicting info
Car/Body:
12A= Body manufacture started 1st week of December ‘66
D543= started on 4th day of production - #543 on that day
12437 = 12 – model code 4 – standard interior 37 - coupe
741-Z = 741 – red interior Z – standard bucket seat no headrest
R-R = Bolero Red
E 2EM = E – tinted class 2EM – 2E = Air Conditioning 2M = Powerglide Transmission
Do these check out? Any comments or insight is appreciated as the history of the car/body and the engine are as important to me as actually getting to drive her around. I'd like to be able to give the 100% accurate history of the car/body and engine at my local shows/cruise-ins without inserting my size 10 into my mouth.
Thanks much. Looking forward to responses.
