No Trim Tag available .
Is there any way to get the Trim Tag information based on the cars VIN ?
I think only if it was canadian built or delivered..you would get the option list.color etc.
If sold new in Canada you will get the option list, color but not TT info.

Assuming that this is your car and the trim tag is missing(not good but it happens) a build sheet is the only thing that's going to give you the info that your looking for. If you have a build sheet it will have almost everything you need to get a repro tag made ie. build date, colors, body number etc. If you do so I would suggest full disclosure on the new tag because it will be noticed down the road and make everything else suspect if your not upfront about it.imo

Thanks everyone for your input.
The car was race car for many years.
Part of the firewall was removed due to
Engine being set back 2"s.
That 's why the trim tag is gone,
I'm in the process restoring the car.
Thanks

Sounds like too cool a car to add a repo tag to if that's what you're seeking the TT info for?
Do as you choose as it's your car but a tag lost to a racing history needs no excuse yet a repop tag often does and when questioned may even diminish value in some eyes.
Do you know it was for sure an L78 originally or are you thinking it may've been an L72 Copo car?
Welcome aboard!

Gary, If you email or PM the VIN to me I can check my list and see if I have it listed. I also have several original shipping documents, slim chance yours may be there but it is always worth the check. You didn't mention which assembly plant your chevelle is from, each plant used different layouts for their trim tags. take care, Andy

The car is Glacier Blue with a Black Vinyl top.
I was told it was a original 396/375 4 speed
car when I purchased it 14 years ago. The has been
raced for 25+ years and is in great shape. I'm currently
working on few 69 Chevelle's.
