OK,So Ive swapped out a 350 from my C10 to my 70 Camaro.
The p/s pump now fouls with the pitman arm/draglink on RH lock.
The engine has a short waterpump and the alt is also mounted on the drivers side of the engine.
Will the early GM brackets give me the extra height I need to clear the draglink in a 2nd gen? I dont really want to swap waterpumps etc.
Has anyone been down this road?

cheers Dave

I've been down this road before. You have to have the correct combo for your particular setup. You should have a long water pump, drivers side power steering pump and passenger side alt bracket. I hope that this is a LH drive setup? I have raides many a junkyard looking for correct bracketry for my Novas. Some have gone from inline sixes to small blocks and others just to get rid of the chrome junk that is sold. Be careful with aftermarket waterpumps. The castings are not the same!!! Parts store replacement pumps throw off pulley alignment! Best thing is to find a remanufacture original style waterpump. NAPA sells remanufactured originals. The only difference is the fact that the immpeller is stamped steel compared to cast iron.
