Yes, real but the pictures are 10+ years old and the car has been moved. Was in WI, visible from the road so everyone knew about it. All the usual suspects made a play for it, not sold far as I know.

A real fathom green auto Yenko lawn ornament. Those pictures are probably 15 years old or so.

Ive got that set of pics from about 03 as well, judging how close it is to the dirt and for the length of time the rails and pans as well as inner and outer rockers, inner and outer wheelhouses, trunk drops, etc etc etc are probably shot.
To do a car like this correctly a donor car built in the same week (date codes) would need to be located, it would need excellent pans, rails, braces, reinforcements, etc. Then fully document the breakdown and rebuild so there are no questions as to the authenticity if the vehicle.
The car is worth the expense, however most would take the easier ways and rebody the car or use reproduction metal, braces, etc (which even though they are new, are not like the originals)
IMHO six figure investment grade cars should be done correctly.

The Camaro now is inside high and dry, and yes it runs and drives. Owner does not want to be contacted, and car is not for sale.
Is that the car that "Motown Madman" was going to get, no matter what? Ride in with 40 bikers to make him sell?

Should have realized emotions would be high on a car like this out in the open. I must have missed the Motown drama thread. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
Too bad the owner (new?) wants to remain private. I bet it's a great story, but you have to respect his privacy.

There were plenty of Motown drama threads........
The late Tom Billigen shared photos of this car with me back then.
Congrats to the new owner for acquiring it and respecting it better.

Rumor is that the car was not sold, but that the "then current" owner was having it restored. At least that's what the folks at the house told me when I stopped to check it out years ago, only to find it gone.
Since that day back in 2005 or 2006(???) there's been no signs of the car anywhere to my knowledge.

Had old race letters on the quarters. I had heard the guy used to come to the door with a gun. Car has been gone awhile.
