I've done 3 vinyl tops on my cars over the past couple years. All 3 came from SMS. They will send you a sample if you want to see the material they use. I've also heard Legendary sells a quality top, but I've never seen theirs. Maybe someone else around here can comment.

Contact M22 Mike Fred. We just discussed those tops in Chicago this year. he has a supplier for your needs. Ask him about the glass also.

Key Auto is the right stuff... correct grain pattern and feels rock hard after install, like the original tops were...cloth backed without the white fuzz backing many supposed "correct" tops have.

I like Kee, Brian turned me onto them some time ago. Both are VG tops. I would get samples of both and then decide for yourself. These pic's may help.

Mike/ Joe/ Brian,
Thank you very much for the information and timely input- much appreciated.
I want to do this project right the first time.
I have a 69 Camaro SS/RS Garnet Red /718 L78( all born with driveline) white vinyl top/white hockey sticks that I have owned since 1980 and the woman owner from 1973 is as anxious so see this car finished as I am.

Mike,
It's the same color scheme as the Garnet red in the Camaro brochure and the print ad with the Corvette in the barn.
After being taken off the road in 1980 with a spun bearing. The car is now in the process of being prepped for outer wheel houses ( we didn't have access to them in the late 70's), blocked, aligned then prepped for paint and detailing underneath and the car finally restored.
I completely cleaned, detailed and painted the entire underside in 81/82 with IMRON completely wrong now
but helped preserve the car all these years- the car has no rust.
I will get some phots put up in the member section.
