I've heard rumors about this car but have never seen it until today. Original owner, 7k miles. Car is verified with original window sticker. Car does not have original block, rearend, has been tubbed, and has a 6 point cage. Owner still has original front end, and some original motor parts. VIN is136370A173382. It's posted for sale in the Omaha, Ne Craigslist. It's about 45 minutes from me if someone is interested.

my cuda convert just came off craigslist in omaha recently, looks like some decent cars are on there (like this LS6).

I think the CL ad is a bit misleading. It doesn't say anything about not having the original block or rearend. Also, no mention of being tubbed or the roll cage. Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking the car but I think all this should be mentioned.

Why has no one mentioned that is not a 70? Am I missing something?

It's a very poor description of what could be a very cool car and, what I think, a good deal. I'm going off what the OP stated in the first post.

The VIN number displayed is for a 70. Maybe that is what they meant by "in disguise" I can't buy it
but someone should call them and get the rest of the story.

That's exactly what I meant by in disguise. When I bought my ls6, the gentleman was telling me about another ls6 in his town that was dressed up as a 71-72 Chevelle. He stated the owner of the car didn't care for the 70 front end so he changed it. But now after talking to the seller it was due more to the Stock/Super Stock rules he was racing in. Going to go take a better look tomorrow.

Yet another LS6 posted here recently that seems worthy of a closer look, especially if the mileage and WS are both original.
'71 nose parts and most likely rear bumper too, note the LF fender in the pic is still the '70 item w/ side marker.
The update nose job reminds me of how the Red Alert AMT model got the '72 nose, model only not the actual car.
