Has anyone here seen this? I found it on Team Chevelle.

The information consists of the dealer code, dealer name, dealer address and the date the car was produced. The good news is this should allow you to find the original dealer where your Chevrolet Camaro, Chevelle or Nova was sold and possibly open the door to finding more information about your Chevrolet. A letter containing the information you request will be mailed to your address listed on this order. The cost for this service will be $50.00 USD. Pay by Credit Card or PayPal.</div></div>

NCRS has had this service available for Corvettes for quite some time. It tells you the born date of the car, the dealer and city the car came from, the dealer code number and the zone number. That's all. No info on color' options and so forth. I've never heard of it being offered for Camaro, Nova or Chevelle.

I got this last night. I will be running an LS6 through as a test and see if the selling dealer matches.

Great info. I know the orig selling dealers for my 67, 69, and 99 but not my 70Z project.

It's nice to see this information finally becoming available. I sure hope Impalas are not far behind. I'm dying to know where my L72 was sold new.

I know where my 70 Z28 was sold new way back in 1978, I approached that dealer then (here in the Phoenix area) and they told me they had NOTHING on it ... I thought maybe they were blowing me off, so I persisted and went another route and got the same response ... sigh. Imagine a business being tidy and only keeping records as long as they were required ... no pack rats there ... harumph

I DO have most of the build sheet as my car was built in Van Nuys and I found it under the seat ... I think there is still something left of the one above the gas tank too ...

The important stuff is legible M22 Z28 and the VIN so this service would be of no use to me ...

Now if they could do the shipper like the Ford vehicles have available, now THAT is a useful service ...
