I don't know of one ever being made other than a factory one for big trucks that won't fit a Chevelle.

I was told that the truck pans will not fit. so i should be good with any other pan for my chevelle?

I've never ever seen an aftermarket finned aluminum oil pan for a big block.

If Jason and Matt never saw one, they must be very rare !!!

Dave,
That's for the chrome oil pan they offer. Not the finned aluminum. I have a feeling that the reason why they don't make a big block pan is due to the fact that the dipstick tube goes into the side of the pan instead of the block like a small block does.

Matt,

Good catch on that! This must be why there are no B/B pans listed anywhere.

Do an EBay search for "marine oil pans" and check them out.

Guys, Thanks for the help. I dont believe anyone makes them anymore. I know you could get them years ago. I would say they are probably a rare item. But i do know they were made at one time.

The Marine pans won't fit a Chevelle chassis. I think the only chassis that they'll fit is the Corvette and even that might be a stretch.

Aluminum marine pans typically won't fit the 1968 Chevelle. At one point in time I tried to install this 1968 GM pan in one of my Chevelles and no way was it going to work. And they also lack a provision for the dipstick as well. Charlie

No problem. I picked that one up a few years ago to install on the big block that will go into my Model A project.
If anyone plans on using one of these, p.n. 47552 fits the two piece seal and 47552A is the later, one piece seal.
