Someone told me that Rock Auto has accurate gas tanks with the galvanized steel look, competitively priced, quick reasonable shipping. Anybody able to confirm this or do you use another source that supplies the correct "made in Canada" type gas tanks unstead of a chinese copy. I hate getting suitable substitute crap.

Rock Auto offers the Specta Premium tanks, very nice and a good price. Got one last summer for a 69 Camaro. I know Rick Nelson has used them.

I got one from rockauto too and the shipping price was really low. (Shipping cost is what ruins the deal with most other suppliers)

Rockauto Spectra is close to an original. Put one in my 70 last october and was happy with it. Also put in their pickup, 3/8 with vent. Ring terminal for the ground was different than the original, but worked ok. Also best price I could find for Spectra was from Rockauto.

Chris White and I both buy a lot of these and I have three boxed units on the shelf right now. They are visually as close to OEM as you can find with the exception of two small ribs on the bottom that are not present on the OEM tanks. Rock Auto is the least expensive that I have found as long as the shipping does not kill you. There are near by me so it does not cost me much in freight.
