I stopped to ask about a 1968 Mustang sitting beside a farm storage barn and ended up with this instead. Parked since the 1970's after a hiccup with the front end. Nose was taken off and it sat ever since. Original 6cyl, automatic Malibu with rubber floor mats (?), power windows, power steering, and power top. 100% rust free. I've never owned a Chevrolet this rust free in my life. Just wanted to share the cool find photos and a unique car.

Yes someone added the buckets (they look like full size Olds) and the 1966-67 Impala console.

I've always wanted a 1967 Chevelle convertible but I guess this will have to do for now. I have to get my Nova out of project car purgatory to get this one inside.

Did the sofa come with it? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

----The rubber floor at sort of confuses me. Was it always there? That and power windows and six-in-row make it almost a statistical impossibility.........Bill S

Sound like who ever order it was a life long ragtop cruiser .
Power top and windows for quick easy top down fun . Rubber mat because they knew it would get wet .( Carpet just holds water )
Nice Find !

I heard that sofa is 1 of 1 with that color combo. A real true survivor! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/Can-I-Have-It.gif

I was hoping to do the entire interior in a Day 2 Sofa theme with the same pattern as the sofa on the roof <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

I found the broadcast sheet under the back seat. Any help with ID'ing the groups? Not much on the net for that.

It looks pretty much as the trimtag sections.

Here is were I got the numbers from
http://www.chevellestuff.net/1966/chevelle/tags/66_codes.htm

1XD X=A31 Power windows D=C06 Power Top Convert
2MS M=M35 Transmisson (PowerGlide) S=U73 Manual antenna
5Y Y=A39 Belts All deLuxe

C 2 Paintcode C=Ermine White 2=Black

729 Is the interior Dark Blue,Medium Blue Imitation Leather

All this would match the TrimTag.

Unlike other plants like Kansas and Atlanta, 66 Baltimore car trim tags did not have any options listed other than interior and exterior info. So the option info that would be found on a Kansas car TT for example is found on the body broadcast sheet of baltimore cars. Body number on the broadcast sheet should also match the body number on your TT. This is how you would match up a particular body broadcast sheet to a particular car.

I had no options listed on my trim tag. Body number matches the broadcast sheet though.

Thanks for the help!
