What happens if engine backfires and lid melts?

Well, I guess it will just have to melt. Replace/repair and move on. Just like anything else

As long as there is another Whizzer Guy here..........Here is my 1950 Sportsman that has never had Gasoline in it from day one........Was a display bike in a Hardware store in Ohio hanging from the ceiling........Been sitting in my living room for 20 years......Been repainted once because of faded paint......Just a piece from my Childhood that was a fun time.....LOL

Great looking engine! Could you add a pic of the drivers side header?
Would like to see the clearance around the steering box.

Nice!!
Looking good! A shame you can't get some see-through inner fenders cause those headers are a work of art! Thanks for sharing.

hmmm, clear inner fender panels, now thats a thought. yeah, Lemons Headers are a work of art, no fitment problems what-so-ever and they hang above oil pan. money well spent. Jim
