There is a fair amount of discussion about this car within the Olds community. It recently came out of the woodwork and frankly, few if any knew it existed. I did not.

Wow, That has to be the most expensive piece of aluminum. Even more than kryptonite.

And, that might also be one of the most expensive pieces of paper i.e. “The original window sticker”. It’s worth almost as much as the car. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif

Beautiful car. So what's it really worth? And who found it and how did it stay off the Oldsmobile radar for so long?

That's another Steve Klein find in Connecticut. Back in the 1980's he and I used to hunt for cars all around the area. It was a fun sibling rivalry back in the day.

That's funny! Must have been a high school film class project. We started hanging together around 1982 when I got back to Connecticut after graduating from Denver Auto and Diesel College.

(So, none of the guys in the car are me...though that definitely looks like my hairdo from back in the day)

I see the black pearl <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif is heading to the Mecum Auction on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how much interest this particular car receives. I did not notice until re-reading the original E-bay auction listing that the car does not have the original numbers matching block. I believe that may bring the value of the car down just a tad. It seems that most W-30s, which I see for sale, still retain their original numbers matching blocks or at least they are advertised as such. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how the car fares at auction.

Also, saw a couple of very nice 1969 H/Os going through.

However, this beautiful black Boss 429 serial number-1 may be my favorite of this auction or the LS-6 Chevelle convertible

Very cool video! I just purchased my 71 340 Shaker Cuda from Steve Klein. He was amazing to deal with. I wasn't expecting much, but when the car was delivered I was shocked! Talk about a time capsule with great bones.

What color was his 'Cuda? I've seen a GB5 blue one but it was a V-code.
