This is unrestored for sure.... Obvious Z-11 but same stripes as the Z/28.

Z11s used a template while the Z28s did not.

To keep the thread in context from the Z/28 stripe thread.....
Direct from the paint shop supervisor: ( at. GM Norwood Fisher Body 1969)
A piece of cardboard with double sided tape was the ODS correct specified way to do all Rally stripe blending operations.
If the cardboard was fresh and the tape was sticky the lines and paint breaks were fresh and crisp. When the paint caked up on the board it was discarded and a new piece cut. This cardboard was cut quickly. Cut and shape variation depended on the attention of the individual worker. When the tape lost tack the board was just tossed over the top with over spray being the result. Eventually the paint shop got pretty good and they just shot the areas needed carefully by hand.
Sometimes not so careful. The paint shop had very little time to complete this task and there could be considerable variation in paint coverage from car to car. When specific general Superintendents were in the areas the board was used-but most of the time we did not even bother.
