It looks like you are using the picture from this ebay auction or your using a 100% markup..either way, I'm not sure how it helps this site or fellow enthusiast. Post some more pictures when you actually have the part. Cheers

If you want to help the site , why dont you pay 25.00 and get a membership. You obviously didnt learn anything from Charlie deleting your first two posts a few months ago. And no, I wont sell you anything.

Chuck, Not trying to stir anything up but what is that guy saying? The pics do look the same though. He must be thinking your spamming? I'm only assuming you bought from the ebay owner and reselling. Where is the mark up remark he's complaining about coming from? Weird.

Looks like it was bought for $500 and being flipped. Guess first seller underpriced it? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

Old Chinese proverb I just made up....

"If you find a ten dollar bill lying in your yard there is no reason to take five dollars for it."

I don't know why people have an issue with someone making money off a part, car or whatever...last time I checked this is still a capitalistic country, not that the current admin wouldn't like to change it. Chuck makes a living off parts, selling parts is a PITA, posting, taking pics, research, dealing with flakes, packaging, shipping etc, etc, etc. Like it or not this "hobby" is a business for some. If guys weren't out there finding, buying and selling parts there would be a lot less available when you need that particular item. Ok, I'm done with my rant. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

I bought a set of date correct XT-Wheels and a date correct curved neck radiator from Chuck, for the COPO I owned at the time. It saved me a lot of time I think, but best of all, I got the parts I needed.

I bought an 837 alternator for a buck back in the 90's. It was in a pile of parts, and I gave a dollar a part for the whole box. I didn't even know it was in the pile because I didn't look at the numbers and it didn't have the big pulley on it. Boy was I surprised. I don't even remember what attracted me to the box, but think it was a timing cover.

Am I limited on the amount I can get for that 837 alt?

I recently bought our 19 year old a Celica. Got a smoking deal at $2500. Three weeks later he gets rear ended and the car is totaled. I am entitled to fair market value, regardless of what I paid. Ins co. paid a little over $5500. Should I have given back some of that money?

Chuck got a smoking hot deal on the ebay alt. He is entitled to ask whatever he wants. The market will dictate.

If someone wants this part for $500, all you have to do is camp out on ebay for the next 3 or 4 years, putting in your $500 bid until another one sells for that.
