Not really a bad month to have.

Aug 68 through May 69 are most common.
June & July 69 appear less often (normal slow down for model changes).

As for what they are worth, you will see them all over the board.

Some guys prefer to find them with 1.94 valves anyway and have them machined. Also, many guys will want to upgrade to stainless valves, and will just ASSUME they need guides.

I don't know anyone who would buy a pair that was rebuilt in the 70's and try bolting them on.

If they haven't been surfaced, and still have the press in studs, $200 each and up, depending on whether someone is "hot" for the particular date.

I prefer 186's with the 1.94 valves and then convert them to 2.02's. This provides nice fresh material for the valve seats. I think it's typical to end up with more $$ in them, but I feel you end up with a better set of heads.

Forgot to mention, also a huge plus if they have NOT been ported.

Matched dates is a plus.

Again, minimum $400 for the pair, but you will see guys asking $800 and more.

If it is an assy line correct oil pan for a Z/28, $300 and up. Have seen them go as high as $500 with the windage tray and studs.

Here is how to tell the difference between the old and the new.
