Yes..it really happened//yes..it happened to me...
I came in at 3 pm a few weeks ago, got online, opened ebay and noticed i had a bunch of stuff in a shopping cart...i never do that..
opened it there was $1000 worth of stuff waiting to be paid...called ebay and they helped..i already changed my password..was inconvenient..took a little time...but not bad
It scared me BAD...called my bank..they told me to kill everything i had tied to paypal....and ebay..and thats what sucked...
killed a checking acct i had for 20 years...killed all my credit cards..all my debit cards anything with a digital foot print....
put it all on 1 credit card etc...still worried...but i dont live like that...
Don't forget to change your esnipe password as well. FWIW.

Changed mine also. Thanks for the heads up!
I read about it in the news and changed my passwords ,but have yet to receive an email or notice in my messages from Ebay themselves. Has anyone else gotten notice personally from Ebay about the breach?

They wrote to me 2 weeks ago and asked me to change my password. I thought it was another scammer email until I checked my ebay messages and saw the message there too.

Tried to change it yesterday and a message stated it couldn't be done - system must have been on overload! Message also said that no transactions could occur in my account until the p/w was changed.... ironic.....

They said Paypal was not hacked, but interestingly enough for the very first time today I was given a security challenge from paypal while sending a request for payment.....
