1 of 284 made.
A real nice 1970 Lemon Twist Yellow (R) code Hemi Cuda w/dual quads,dog dish & 4:10 Dana.
Guy pulls up behind me @ a cruise last week.
He bought it out of Hemmings in Calif. in 1987 for $16000.

Only 284 1970 Hemi Cuda Hardtops w/4spds were made in any color.
Add 5 more to that # that were convertibles.

If I recall correctly it was 666 total: 652 coupes and 14 convertibles for US sales.

Looks like my 1970 Challenger R/T S.E. 440 375 HP 4BBL with Four Speed is more Rare than this Hemi Cuda at only 142 built with the 4 speed. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif It is the same color but Dodge Called it Top Banana Yellow while Plymouth called it Lemon Twist.

Check out the rare numbers for a 1970 Challenger R/T S.E. Hemi. Now that's Rare with a total count of 59 with only 22 Four Speeds.

Nice looking car! $16K was a really good buy in 1987.

The difference there is you're pairing up two option packages to reach that number (RT & SE). RT 440 4spd production was 916 units, a more apples to apples comparison.

A lot of people do not know that the S.E. Special Edition is a model on it's own.
Only happened once in 1970 for the Challenger. The 1970 Gran Coupe would have been a good comparison against the 70 Challenger S.E. R/T as they were both separate models but the Hemi was not offered in any Gran Coupe in 1970 as they were Barracuda's not Cuda's. At least Dodge offered a 1970 Challenger to be a R/T Coupe, R/T Convertible or a R/T S.E. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif 1970 Plymouth Only offered the Cuda' for there Coupe or Convertible but not the Gran Coupe.
