Thank you to Charley and Yenko.net for suggesting I post this here. This is likely not the place but because of his offer I will graciously take him up on it.

To all of Hollywood's friends, only 1 more day till he is locked up and we are hoping his and our friends will help him get out of jail. Please make a contribution to Muscular Dystrophy in Hollywood's name so he can get him out of jail tomorrow at Bella Milano's. Yes he is actually going to be locked in a cell and wearing a jailmate shirt (pictures to follow) and as far as we know he is the only Therapy Dog to have ever been locked up for MDA. Please make that tax deductible contribution today as he gets locked up tomorrow at noon until his bail of $2500 is reached and would really like to come home with us. He has done so much to help patients throughout Illinois and other areas and we are hoping that some of you will recognize his contributions and make your own. The contribution can be as large or as small as you are comfortable with. I serious doubt any sufferer of this disease will frown on any donation they are lucky enough to receive no matter what size. Please read how below. Today and tomorrow morning are the last days you can contribute (though this particular fundraiser) so please especially to all that said previously they would help, do so soon.

Thank you in advance for your support.
Rick, Annie and Hollywood

Yup, I'm a jailbird and I'm pretty proud of it!

I'm joining other community leaders to help raise funds for MDA, and I need your help to reach my bail! I only have 2 days till I turn myself in!

The Sangamon County Lock Up is on June 18th, but I'm raising my bail before I go to jail! All you have to do is click here (http://www2.mda.org/site/TR/Lock-Up/11-695-ChampaignDistrict?px=2228931&pg=personal&fr_id=937 1) to make a secure, online donation today. Your support will help families living in Springfield and the surrounding area with muscle disease, and help guarantee that I get out of jail.

Your tax-deductible donation makes a difference to the hundreds of kids, adults and their families who are fighting muscle disease everyday. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause by making your tax-deductible donation online right to my personal fundraising webpage.

If you would prefer, you can send your contribution directly to the MDA office at MDA, Sangamon Lock Up, 115 N. Neil, Ste 100, Champaign, IL 61820. Be sure to include my name (Hollywood), so it goes towards my bail.

Thanks in advance for your help. Don't hesitate to call or email me with questions.

Thank you!

Hollywood The Therapy Dog

Annie and I want to thank you all for the overwhelming responses so far via email. Just since this morning he has met over half his bail money so with any luck he will be released tomorrow and even more importantly some patients will get some of the care and research needed.

We are just $800 shy from making his $2500 bail and all in just one day! You guys are great and thanks again Charley for asking me to post this here!

I know for a fact that several of you who have made donations are VERY busy today and have more important things to worry about yet you stopped what you were doing long enough to listen and contribute. Many patients will be very grateful and will post photos tomorrow while he is in jail (if he does not make bail).

It's not something we normally do but when you look at how long Rick and Annie have been hanging around this site is is kind of a no brainer.

I was "locked up" years ago for this event, while on duty with EMS. It was awkward, and made the newspaper with me in the little cell in uniform, and my cop buddies had a blast mugging for photos with me in cuffs, but my bail was raised within an hour and we didn't get any calls during the time.

Good luck and God bless.

Looks like Bella Milano's (http://bellamilanos.com/springfield-bella-milano/) may allow him inside their restaurant today due to the heat and may be feeding him instead of locking him up as he far surpassed his original donation goals. We have since raised those goals and he is just shy of meeting that one as well. Thank goodness Annie gave him a bath at the car wash yesterday! You guys have been great and all for a very worthy cause. Thank you Charley!

Saturday he is will be working with Ann at our Fire Department open house to try and bring more awareness to Therapy Dog work while I manage the open house. He is quite a trooper though this may be his last year and he contemplates retirement.

I just got out of jail two weeks ago, donations from work were to keep me there.

What a great day at the MDA fund raiser at Bella Milano's. We got to meet Lizzie Chamberlain (the 2014 MDA Illinois Ambassador) and were graced with her beautiful voice as she sang to the three of us. When we were leaving we were told that Hollywood appeared to be the top donations recipient so thank EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU for your support of us and this organization. The donations are open for another week if anyone would like to add to it. First time ever a dog has made such an impact at an MDA event and brought in so much help for these kids. We were told that with Hollywood's friends donations that at least 5 kids would be able to attend an MDA camp for a week. Hollywood was invited to join them one day so look forward to seeing more about that visit in July.
