I just got the primary AFB carb for my 1968 hemi GTX back from Eric at Vintage Musclecar Parts. I installed it and, of course, it functions perfectly.
I have to give Eric this "shout out" because the carburetor has been through the shops of 2 local "experts" who have done their best to get it to run right. Finally, I was advised that it must have an internal crack in the casting and I should just try to find a replacement. This is the original 4432S Carter AFB dated September of '67, so I thought that I'd send it to Eric before totally giving up on it (I should have sent it to him first). Eric saved the carburetor and he didn't charge me an arm and a leg - very fair.
I know that there are some great car guys/mechanics/craftsmen on this site - we're fortunate to be able to access them.
