Hi all. Was kicking around the idea of selling my Fathom Green JL8 Z. Talked with Scott Tedro of Shoair ( RST on the site) and we were talking about bullet proof docs. Have a partial broadcast sheet and copy of the original title. Long story short when the original buyer signed the title on June 3 1969 he used his middle initial which made the search easier. Got him on the phone and asked if he bought a Camaro new in 1969- he said ya I did from Bill Hazelett in Kent,WA. I asked what color it was and he said "it was Forest Green and came from the factory with 4 wheel disc brakes". Wow what a feeling that was!! He just sent me a notarized letter stating this, it's a car Charley used to own so I knew it was legit anyway!! Don,t know why I didn't try looking him up sooner!

Very cool. Did he have any pics of the car that he would share?

He said he would look for some pics... I sent him a few of the car as it is today and he said he had a lot of fun showing them to people at his work. So far just a really great guy- can't wait to meet him someday. Lives about 3 hours west of me.

Don that is a neat piece of the puzzle.
Just out of curiosity what is the dealer (WA state) number listed on the title.
For example my original title from So. Tacoma Motor Co Chevrolet is 0199.

That's another thing that made me go hmmmm, the original dealer # on the title is 204 which comes up in the data base as Alan Green Chev. Makes sense right, they were a big high performance dealer, probably THE major racing oriented dealer back in the day in this part of the country. Turns out the car was, per the NCRS report, shipped to Capital Chev. in Olympia,WA but sold from Bill Hazelett Chev. in the Seattle area

Neat stuff... I spoke w the original owner's brother of my former fathem green JL-8 car. Original owner had passed away. A neat story he told me how he went to the dealer with his brother and they had picked out a red Z that had a crossram setup in the trunk. The price was like 500 bucks extra for the xram, so they decided on the JL-8 instead and they went right out and bought an offenhauser complete xram setup for a little over 200 bucks !!
