Doubtful, not with those door panels and roll-up windows - original cars had straps and lexan....plus the fact that restored versions run well into the six-figure range.

Hemi Darts....What a insane concept! This is my hands down favorite, Bad-A$$ limited production car. Just imagine what Chrysler would have built if Big Brother and all wasn't watching....Pull straps on the windows = awesome!
What did Chrysler engineering propose that they wern't they allowed to build !?!

Corporate suits are just as much of an obstacle to outrageous production cars as the gummint is. Ford was even hesitant to build the Mustang in 1964. The '64 GTO was snuck past the suits too. GM's racing ban came from the front office. Hemi Darts got out because the horsepower wars were profitable but you'll note they didn't build any for the street. Let's not forget insurance companies and their influence on what gets built. Insurance companies had as much, or more, to do with the end of the musclecar era in 1970-71 as gummint regulations did.
