69 Z spark plug shields

as far as I understand - they are cad plated originally - maybe the heat gets to the cad and makes it more white.

&quot;White rust&quot;, which is what zinc/cad/galvanize is supposed to do when exposed to the elements. It's meant to be a sacrificial coating to protect the parent metal, but unfortunately it only lasts so long.
