Nice. I believe there are many more videos out there that GM made. Hopefully more will see the light of day.
Btw, at 17,000 miles, the test car consumed 17 quarts of oil. Yikes! I rarely add oil between changes on new cars.

Note that they don't mention the name Camaro until the very last scene.

Gives me an all new respect for the engineers & designers of the day.
Love that low rear stance as it sat in the studio.

Kurt: When I worked at the Buick dealership in the 70's, the standard under warranty was a quart every 750 miles. Don't know if that varied from zone to zone. Back then the zone reps had quite a bit of discretion.

Then they stanced it high in production. DeLorean was smart and told his guys to lower the Firebird. When I had my '67 lowered I had those promotional and studio photos in mind. Didn't go that low but the car looks a LOT better.

"Based on computer information, engineers came up with single-leaf rear springs - simple, practical, ideal for the characteristics for this particular design..."
...and then they actually drove it. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/crazy.gif
thanks for posting this link, hope there is more out there <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Great video.I like in the middle when one craftsman is working on the clay model.2 engineers walk in and lay their plans on the hood and act the guy isn't even their.I'm sure the guy wouldn't have had any problem with that;)
the dull rough looking dark colored Camaro towards the end, may be the first running Camaro to hit the test track
it is shown in other early Camaro films
looks to have no emblems and odd looking grill and tail lights
